What we like and don’t like
Like
The Gunplay has always been good. Each weapon, though in the same class, some can feel and handle completely differently. The attention to detail in that regard is insane and makes finding new variants a joy.
The exotics are always fun to mess around with, and I really liked masterworking them to their full potential when I could. Those really make you feel overpowered
The lore has always been interesting to me. I might only know the surface level story of the majority of the game but every so often I would lean into the lore and just be awestruck by it.
Like the exo’s, and the vex, and the darkness
I like how it is usually bug free and is just seamless.
Always has something with everyone with so many different game modes.
Free base game lol, and SO MUCH content in that base game.
Don’t like
Think an article by Ethan Gach from Kotaku says it best for me: “You can dabble in it for a few hours or commit your whole life to it, but there is no getting in, playing the campaign to a satisfying conclusion, and then moving on to something else—especially not these days. This has always been one of the core tensions at the heart of Destiny’s messiness and, perhaps, one of the keys to its longevity.”

they want you to have D2 be the only thing you play. That’s my only beef with Destiny. Everything else I really love about it.
Give some opinions on Bungie as a company
the major story that went around lately was The Battle for Bungies Soul by IGN (linked in shownotes) it is MASSIVE
Talk about:
publically responding that they were working on toxic work culture but nothing was changing
had several bad bones in the biz that made life miserable but because they did good work they didn’t fire them
project managers would alter writers work after voice lines were recorded
sexism stuff
lots of turnover and burnout because of the work load
leadership compiled negative reddit comments about women at bungie and sent them around
lack of women representation... men writing women instead of women writing women
the “rockstar” mentality
fear of talking to HR
women put on difficult and not fun projects
have been actively improving over the last few years
“don’t talk and make statements about these issues”
