A bite sized review for a near perfectly delicious and bite sized mobile game :)
When Suika Game launched, I thought it was just some kind of meme game that would just get lost in the wind after a couple of weeks. Until I played it… And spent hours playing it. Got it on multiple devices. Now it’s like Tetris for me — binge it for a week out of the month, take a nice long break, then come back again and play it. Rinse and repeat.
It’s just a nice, relaxing puzzle game. Combine the same type of fruits to make bigger fruits. Do this for as long as possible. There’s just enough random chance with what fruits are given to you that every attempt at a new high score feels unique.
The best part about the official version, too, is after you buy it there are no ads. There are some customization options you can get (some less than a buck), but if all you want it to be able to play the game, you won’t be hindered by anything else after your initial purchase. In a world with subscriptions and live service games, that makes Suika Game stand out to me. It makes me want to buy those cosmetics and support the dev.
I’ve derived a lot of joy from this game, and it’s also been great to show my friends and attempt to beat their scores. Every time I get the hankering to play this game, it delivers on a fun experience every time. If you haven’t tried it yet and are looking for your next mobile game fix, I highly recommend you give Suika Game a try.
